Day 53,54 &55

Day 53 &54 days have been much the same, doing nothing and just walking around Sydney a bit to loosen the legs and take some time out from the constant pedalling Ive been doing lately. And i can tell you my head at the moment is not a good look. I need a haircut so Jen rang and got a price for a cut  but when they said $48 to $53 on the phone i freaked and said ,don't worry. My biggest query was what would make it $48  and what would make it $53.lol .Tony and Jen have been great to take me in for the three nights and two days that Ive been here . There boy Jack was a real trooper to move in with his sister, Ella, onto the floor to give me his bed which is real comfy.Even Scout, there female Blue Staffy has been fun but she does hog the gas heater a bit.
Hey, i'm Scout and this is my house and my heater so P.O.

Jens been hard at it making me cups of tea and buying fruit for me for my getaway tomorrow and cooking every night to strengthen my body for the next onslaught. I think if they treat me any better i might stay a bit longer. Hang on,while typing right now i have just been delivered mini Sushi rolls, that's it I'm staying.

No ,the show must go on and i have been busy trying to work out how to get out of the city over the Harbour Bridge and onto the Pacific High Way because the freeway is a no go zone.
Well thats that, another city bites the dust.

Looks fairly easy on the maps but when I'm out there I'm sure it's  all different. Tonight for our last supper together as one big happy family Jen has again cooked this afternoon  a beautiful meat and veg dish and gone to town with home made desert, chocolate moose. It all tasted like heaven. We chattered for a while and i retired early for an early start to beat the traffic on exiting Sydney.
Tony,Jen,Jack,Ella,Scout and me. Jack lost it because  i squeezed  Scout too hard and she let one rip.
Here is a few pics i took which relate to certain people.
Keith,Tony, Mark bless them

?

Mr F antastico,Joe.
Day 55  started at 6.15 to beat most of the traffic with big hugs from Tony and Jen as though i am going into battle. And it ended up a bit like that getting out of Sydney and has been a long day riding  along the Pacific Highway crossing back and forth across the F3 main motor way because bikes are not allowed on it. I'm sure if i could of gone on the freeway it would of been a lot easier . The Highway bends and bends where as the freeway is fairly straight. Unless you look at  the two different roads closely side by side you would think that there is no difference in length but i am sure there is.The day seemed to go forever and the distance felt further. I ended up in Newcastle in a pub and happy that i have slipped back into the riding feeling refreshed from the two day break at Tony and Jens place. Lets just hope i wake tomorrow and feel o.k after a biggish day.
One good thing about today was finally the warmth in the air was noticeable and it was nice not to have parts of your body frozen and feeling uncomfortable. Don't worry though i will be soon complaining about the humidity.lol

  1. Sydeney to Newcastle was a long 160k plus ride.
You must have felt pretty fit to do that.
It looked windy and some ups and downs on the terrain map?
Great job to the people you stayed with in Australia's capital city.
Have you got a "thing" for dogs?
