Day 67

Day 67 was probably one of the most uneventful days so far on the trip. Left Benaraby this morning and arrived in Rockhampton about 3pm. No problems with anything and the road was good. The wind was with me at first then turned against  me which convinced me to stop at Rocky overnight, as well as the place is having a cold snap and i didn't want to stay in the tent. I didn't take any photo's either as nothing really was worth taking.
I had plenty of quite time today to do some serious thinking, and this leaves me to now to let my supporters know that i will be making a huge announcement tomorrow. I will ride as normal and decide when and how i will put the message across correctly. I'm sure some people will be relieved and others not so. Some people won't care either way but i cannot worry about  what other people think in this case but i will make the announcement regardless through the blog so there is no confusion.
Thanking You
Grant.

  4. Hi grant, Pam ere, life in Esperance isn't as exciting as your adventure but we enjoy reading your blogs. Work is still a 4 letter word - looking forward to USA trip 'looking for Elvis'. by the way have you found your coach yet? My sister is visiting at the moment - having a few days break. 15degrees and raining here dosn;t seem to be getting any better. Ted is a happy little vegie mite, Mick took him for a run (no Mick dosn't run or exercise, should have said drive) to our friends farm yesterday - Ted just loves the smelly paddocks, a real foot rot flats dog usually comes home stinkin. Well my friend will sign off now, happy travels.

The Bluce Hwy comes to a major set of traffic lights at a place called City Gates(no sign for this) and turns into Nebo Rd as you go straight ahead. You will see a big BP on the other side of the lights on your side of Rd,ezy pezy maaaate.

  11. I give up! Those Queensland winds are totally unreliable and unpredictable. One minute there's a howling gale off the coast, then just north there are strong southerlies, just what the Doc ordered. Then everything switches around and you can't tell what's happening. Crazy. I miss being reassured that you have fair winds behind, or that you are battling the headwinds. I could feel the pain, sort of, vicariously, sort of. Now, in the pineapple state, I have to be checking every hour to see what's up. My routine has gone to the pack.
Anyway, you are heading for some marvelous country. What about taking a week or so and enjoying it? Sort of time out? Swim in some warm water in the middle of June! Stop and smell the seaweed??
